Introduction:
ARTICLE 2 - MIGRATION
Travelling. The intrinsic definition being going from one place to another. We've considered travelling to be a part of the same superset as migration, rather than narrowing ourselves to the parochial confines of 'travelling on vacation'.
Nelson Mandela once said, "To deny people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity"
And it is keeping these words in mind, that we have chosen the story of Alicia. She travelled to the USA in the hopes of a better life, hopes of a brighter future, hopes of an inviting tomorrow. But all these were just hopes that never materialised due to the violation of human rights.
As we read this, at this very instant, people face violation of human rights across the globe. Be it discrimination of caste, gender, religion, colour or the denial of basic necessities and amenities, this evil has a plethora of forms.
So today, as global citizens, we must unite against this wrongdoing. We must guarantee basic fundamental human rights to every individual. Only after accomplishing this can we move towards global unity and social camaraderie.
